The Board of Police Commissioners for the Village of Plainfield has opened its testing process for the position of entry level Police Officer. We are seeking motivated, service-oriented individuals who are committed to protecting the community and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. Lateral Police Officer Application

The Board of Police Commissioners for the Village of Plainfield is currently accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. This opening is limited to candidates who are presently certified police officers through the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board, or through an equivalent certifying agency in another state, and who meet the requirements for lateral transfer consideration. Interested candidates are encouraged to review the full job description for additional details. Applications will be available online, and interviews will be conducted on an as-needed basis with qualified applicants. Candidates who successfully complete the interview process will be placed on an eligibility roster for up to two years.
