• To assist with the snow removal process, please do not shovel or blow snow into the street.
• Please avoid parking on the street when salting and plowing operations are underway.
• When placing refuse and recycling carts outside for collection, please place them in the parkway, at the curb, or on the corners of the driveway apron rather than in the street. This helps keep the street clear for drivers, mail carriers, and snowplow drivers. Thank you!
• Please keep fire hydrants clear of snow, it is important for the Fire and Water Departments to have easy access to all hydrants.

• The Police Department posts updates on major winter storms and any major crashes on Facebook and X (Twitter).
• The Police Department, 14300 Coil Plus Drive, is available for those in need of a warming shelter. Anyone in need of assistance should call the non-emergency number at 815-436-2341, unless the situation dictates calling 9-1-1.
