The Village of Plainfield is governed by a Village President and Board of Trustees. Six trustees are elected at large to sit on the Village Board.

Board Meetings
The Village Board meets every Monday evening at the Village Hall, located at 24401 W. Lockport Street in Plainfield, at 7:00 p.m, except for the fifth Monday of any given month. Regular Board Meetings (formal consideration of, and voting on agenda items) are held on the 1st and 3rd Mondays and Workshop Meetings (designed for informal discussion) are held on the 2nd and 4th Mondays. All citizens are encouraged to participate in these meetings and will be given an opportunity for comments at the beginning of each meeting. Opportunities are also provided for informal visits with the Mayor at Coffee with the Mayor. Please check the Community Calendar for a complete schedule.

Agendas are posted at the Village Hall and on the web, 48 hours prior to each meeting.
Minutes are posted on the Village website after the Board approves them.
